service obligation on cross-Solent services
Key activities
• Consult with the community to scope out what a public service obligation might
encompass by June 2022.
• Complete dialogue with the Solent operators on the voluntary adoption of a
public sector obligation by November 2022.
• If necessary, work with the Island’s MP and Government to encompass the
public service obligation in any legislation to be passed to ‘level up’ the Island
with the mainland by December 2024.
