Isle of Wight ferry Red Funnel cancels Southampton sailings

Isle of Wight ferry operator Red Funnel has announced cancellations to its evening crossings today (Thursday, July 26).

Two vehicle ferry sailings between East Cowes and Southampton are currently affected.

Red Funnel said the reason behind the disruption was ‘unplanned maintenance of the propulsion equipment’.

As a result, the 8.15pm from Southampton and the 9.45pm from East Cowes have been cancelled.

The ferry operator has issued an apology to passengers for the inconvenience caused by these cancellations.

Passengers are advised to check Red Funnel’s live service status website for updates before travelling.
