FRIDAY RED JET CANCELLATIONS DUE TO EQUIPMENT FAILURE
An equipment failure on board Red Jet 6 has led to the cancellation of 5 commuter crossings this morning (Friday).
It’s a bad start to the last day of the working week for those travelling between West Cowes and Southampton with Red Funnel.
The cross-Solent operator has confirmed that the 06:40, 07:50 and 09:00 hi-speed sailings from the Isle of Wight have been cancelled, alongside the 07:15 and 08:25 sailings from Southampton.
It is said that the disruption is due to required maintenance on a mandatory item of equipment onboard Red Jet 6.
It is unclear at this time if further sailings will be affected.
UPDATE @ 13:12 – Red Funnel has announced further cancellations to its hi-speed service.
The 15:35, 16:45 and 17:55 sailings from Southampton have all been cancelled, alongside the 16:10, 17:20 and 18:30 sailings from West Cowes.
