CREW AVAILABILITY ISSUES FORCE WIGHTLINK CANCELLATIONS ON FISHBOURNE-PORTSMOUTH ROUTE

Wightlink is to cancel 4 morning sailings on its Fishbourne-Portsmouth route this Wednesday (25th October). The cross-Solent operator has announced that the absence of an essential crew member will mean the 06:40 & 08:40 from Portsmouth and the 07:40 & 09:40 from Fishbourne have been withdrawn. Wightlink say that they have been unable to source short-notice cover for the absent members of staff and that the decision is a ‘last resort’. All booked customers have been notified and moved to alternative sailings.
